This book is very impractical for the vast majority of people. The main premise of the entire book is hiding your home address, which is nearly impossible for most people. While I understand and appreciate his reasons for wanting to do this if you have any hope of living a semi-ordinary life then you will find this one step impossible to implement. The author basically says that you need to create a ghost address to solve these problems, which is also extremely difficult if not impossible and still live a normal life. He advocates you don't have a mortgage (rent until you can pay all cash for a house), don't have a bank account, don't send your kids to public school and host of other sacrifices to hide your home address. These suggestions simply are not practical for most people.I thought the book could have been vastly improved if he had started it off with a threat assessment exercise where you determine what threats you face and what privacy measures would help you mitigate those threats and then proceed to give advice to solve those specific issues. For example, perhaps hiding your home address so possible serial killers (seriously that is in the book) don't find you is not your largest concern, but rather hackers stealing your identity is. Perhaps you are a small business owner and you want keep your assets and financial affairs more private to avoid looking like someone with "deep pockets" that is worth suing from your business activities.I did find some of the chapters of his book to have some useful information in them to boost some of your privacy measures, but by and large those chapters are a small part of his overall plan and he even says of little to no use if you don't manage to hide your home address. That is his key focus in the whole book. For the average person to implement his level 2 privacy measures you would have to live off the grid, have nothing in your name, rent your place or pay all cash and hide the ownership records, have all of your utilities and bank accounts in other people's names or only pay in cash which also creates problems and a host of other sacrifices. By the time you did all of those things you find that you *might* have privacy (remember we live in a post 9/11 big data world now) but have no life to speak of because you have given up so many other things to get it.

My god, people, our privacy has disappeared. Any thief can steal our entire identity, our money, our bank account, and enter our home as easily as I use my key to open the front door of my home. The second chapter will scare the hell out of most of us. Because thieves can do all of this way too easily, I am taking the author’s advice. When the author first published his book, he charged about $300.00. And he sold every copy he could print. I am happy with the price I paid, the information that I received, and I hope I am more secure, safe, and that my privacy is a bit more protected - as much as the author says that it is possible to be in these days of digital access, digital hacking, and digital snooping.

Read all of the positive reviews, this book will not disappoint you. This is the 2012 edition and much has changed in the world, however you will still find a lot of useful information. I've personally learned a few things and to me,any increase in knowledge is both a positive gain and a beneficial life enhancement, and therefore worth the price.

Contrary to some misconceptions, it's not only criminals that need to hide. Not just abuse victims, either! Fradulent lawsuits, unethical private investigators, injury lawsuits, mistaken identities, other corporate mistakes, and an overbearing, big-brother, growing Marxist government are all good reasons you may want to hide your address or the ownership of some or all of your property/assets.This person states his background from the beginning (living and doing "illegal" business under Generalissimo Fransisco Franco, then becoming a P.I.) and that his book will cover things many people will agree on to things most consider extreme. But he makes good points for ALL of this when he relates stories regarding himself and also clients. You wouldn't believe the things a P.I. will do for money, and that most of them will look the other way for the right price, even if they should be suspicious of the person hiring them (abusers claiming their victim owes them money). They do many underhanded things to trick people into violating your safety and giving information they otherwise wouldn't. All this must be thought about when trying to hide ANYTHING, for ANY reason. One of the best stories is how he THANKFULLY avoided a FALSE lawsuit related to a shopping cart, after observing a cart hit a car, merely because he had a fance (e.g. "rich") car, though he did not use a shopping cart himself. Because the car was "owned" by an LLC, the person who threatened him wasn't able to find out who owned the car (if he even tried). He is also honest about the limits of concealment. For example, all you chain mailbox stores, and the post office, regularly provide a list of all clients, present and past, to the government. But with Mr Luna's expert experience, he can guide you in choosing how far you need to go, and what will be required, as well as what you can reasonably expect...WHO you can hide from, and who might find you. This is definitely a book written by an expert, in plain language for the newly paranoid. You should expect that you may not want to take all the steps suggested in this book...or maybe you will. That's the beauty of it!

Modern man is surrounded by threats to his prosperity and even his existence. Even an honest, productive man can be caught up in the overwhelmingly intrusive system if he merely wants to keep his personal information private. Mr. Luna gives examples of how this can happen. I'm convinced. But he goes further and tells you how to secure your privacy and live without too much worry about the often arrogant and arbitrary administrative authorities.

Fantastic comprehensive read for anybody who values his/her privacy. The book is enjoyable to read as well as the author incorporates real-life situations to further make his point. His writing style is direct and even humorous at times. Excellent!
