The book is loaded with information on the top 200 drugs. It also has some key terms with detailed information about drug classes. The book has quizes and breakes down each answer. The math questions show how to solve the problem to get the correct answer. This book is good for the price but I would not just use this one book to study for the PTCB. I think it helps a lot with learning the drugs and finding out what you need to study. I have not taken the test yet but this book is one of my study resources. I am glad I purchased the book.

Bought it for my gf in preparation for the exam and she passed on her first attempt while finishing ahead of time.

I passed my exam first time and this product really a good book to have to read and to do further knowledge search. but definately something to read and to have.

I though it was going to have actual flash cards and it does not which sucks

Not actually cards. Just regular pages with bosed in questions and answers on the back side. Pages arent perforated and boxes dont lign up on front and back of pages.

Studying for exam & working in a pharmacy for on-the-job training, this book is great to have around!

Four stories about 20-something people with dysfuntional social lives. The Summer Blonde story is about a sexy girl who cheats on her lame boyfriend, and the obsessive loner who fantasizes about her. Hawaiian Getaway is about an overweight 27 year old, out of a job, and has trouble with men. These stories were written in the late 90's, a time when bulky computers were the norm, starbucks wasn't full of laptops, and nobody surfed the web from an iPhone. It was a time when we talked on the phone, made plans to meet and showed up, and wrote with pens and paper.I wonder if today's 20-somethings will be able to relate to any of this?

WOW ....Tomine always makes me think when I read his work. I had to look at myself and think if I was as negative as the Summer Blonde lead character. Not only does this have stunning drawings but, Adrian really knows how to capture a person and dissect them. If you enjoy any of Adrian's work I suggest you write him an old fashioned hand letter and thank him. He doesn't believe in FB or other social Media, nor should he.....his work will be passed down like old mythology on onion skin paper through the sounds of harps--or just paper and old prints not destroyed by revolutions of the future. ENJOY

Tomine gives the reader an intimate look into the lives of about a dozen pitiful, often bordering on creepy or pathetic, characters in 4 different stories. The dialog is fluid, the landscapes are simple but well crafted, and the characters mannerisms are well articulated through the art.I'd love to give it a five star review, but the author did too good a job making me feel creeped out by the end of it.

I'm a huge fan of Tomine's work (Shortcomings is one of my favorite graphic novels of all time) and I really enjoyed this work.Tomine specializes in characters who feel both utterly normal and like the worst bits of ourselves dragged up to the light -- he has a genius for portraying an awkward self-loathing that feels completely real. These four stories are about very different protagonists, but they all share a certain loneliness and an anger/resentment that bubbles up in different ways.A really fabulous read, if sometimes painful.

Just like his other two books of collections, this one is another SLAP in your FACE, when it comes to your emotions. As I read the stories I get drawn into the charcaters' simple events, yet complex emotions surrounding those events and feel hit when the end comes. I love how all of Tomines stories are dreary, having and/or not having closure at the same time, depending on how you look at it. I also enjoy the fact that his stories get progressively longer (from the first book on) and so this books is full of 4 long stories. The graphics are good and do an amazing job at expressing emotions and reactions of the characters. Also, I love how all his comics are based on a miserable real world and are told truthfully.

I loved this from start to finish. It's truly a realistic, "slice of pie" style story. I've never read anything like this, and I was upset when I finished it because I wanted more. Finished this in one night.

I appreciated each story and enjoyed it just as much as Short Comings. There is definitely a finger print his story telling. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to read something different and enjoys watching paneled train wrecks.

I love Adrian so much. It's just as good as you think it'll be

This book is fairly decent and has some relatively good information about the moon. However, in parts it is hastily written and the language is a little off. For instance they tell about how water was found on the moon, and they call it lunar water, and then go on to describe lunar water as water on the moon. I'm pretty sure an average reader would have known the definition of lunar water without being told it twice in two sentences.One fun fact I learned from this book, and which they stated twice so I'd certainly remember, is that the same side of the moon always faces the Earth. I suppose this is what they mean when they refer to the "dark side of the moon". Strange to think that I'll probably only ever see half of the moon.All in all this book was fine. Much like other books by the same publisher and seller it appears to be more of a list of facts and pictures rather than a cohesive, well-thought out text. It lacks flow and there are definitely areas that I would have liked to be more well thought out and explained - such as identifying the phases of the moon.

This is an excellent book for children and adults alike. I purchased the book for my 3 year old who has been interested in the moon since he was a baby. He loves the vivid pictures and the facts that go along with each picture. The words of this book are simple to understand and describe the various aspects of the moon in perfect detail. I believe this book would be good for older kids that can read on their own as well. I love that the e-book can be accessed from various devices through the kindle app. I use the app on my iphone and my ipad as I don't have a kindle device and it works perfectly. She is an amazing author and I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Homes and Watson and their friendship.

This is a charming, witty, and moving collection of stories about John Watson and Sherlock Holmes meeting and falling in love. Different time frames, different settings, but a sense of beauty and rightness suffuses each encounter. Atlin is a delightful author, and she writes with both wit and emotion. Highly recommend!

I am a huge Sherlock Holmes and John Watson fan. I have read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's canon stories as well as many beginner and more seasoned authors works. I have never encountered a style of writing quite like this! Unique and fresh, each story is a different take on how Sherlock and John could have met. I myself believe that Sherlock and John or Holmes and Watson (if that's how you roll) had romantic feelings for one another. I love Atlin's ability to gently unfold the possibility of what could blossom between the boys within each short story. There is depth of character but also a familiarity that a fan will recognize. It's clever and funny and I enjoyed it immensely.

Atlin Merrick is a unique and lyrical voice in the world of Sherlock Holmes: outrageous, whimsical humor; tender regard; circuit-breaking sexiness; heartwrenching drama...she can do it all with a style all her own. This book covers all of the above, and has the bonus of soul-deep affection for the characters that have captivated the world for 130+ years. This time, Sherlock and John (yes, it's time they are first names to each other!) go on adventures that could only be told now, and those adventures are warm and passionate and full of promise.Oh, yes. I love this book. I love everything Atlin Merrick writes. And I'm crazy-happy that Improbable Press is bringing us such gems!!!

I enjoyed sitting down to eat breakfast and read a chapter or two a day. Sometimes the writing style was hard for me to follow, but besides that this book was wonderfully varied and yet retained the continuity of the Sherlock Holmes universe and characters and references. Well done. I looked for more publications but couldn't find any besides "The Day They Met". FOR SHAME! haha some of those teaser-chapters at the end of other authors' works looked SO GOOD. I would have bought those stories up in a heartbeat. Just saying. ;)

Merrick is such a charismatic writer. Her words are magical, as are the short stories in this collection. Each one sweet and unique in its own way, she made me swoon again and again. Highly recommended for all fans of Johnlock.

Again and again, in reading this book, I found myself saying "Keep going, keep going!" and wishing for more--the stories are terrific. Atlin Merrick has thought of so many intriguing ways, times and places Holmes and Watson could have met, and her characterizations are spot on. Highly enjoyable!

Nice to have a Christian Advent calendar. Only problem with this one is the design (very beautiful ) has the 3 Kings........they only came on the scene AFTER the birth of Christ.Would love to have the company's artists create a scene with the travel to Bethlehem, and then ONLY on the last window On the eve of Christmas, a picture of the crib. The crib with the Holy Child does not appear in the Christmas Story until Christmas! An Avent calendar with either the child Jesus or the Kings is absolutely MEANINGLESS and it removes all the explanations to our children on the meaning of Advent and their excitement on opening a daily window with a little suitable text.

Gave these to two little friends and parents report the kids have enjoyed them. Can't wait to get up each day to read the latest in baby Jesus" birth. Its a great way to introduce the miracle of Christmas and the true meaning of the season.

This paper 11 x 14 calendar reminds me of the kind we had as kids and that you can't seem to find in stores anymore. There are 24 paper window flaps that you open; one for each day, and there is a picture and part of the Bible story under each flap. This is affordable and pretty. Recommended.

These get a lot if use at out house. After years if use our last one wore out. This one arrived promptly after ordering and in perfect condition. I added a heavy piece of cardboard to to back of it for sturdiness hoping to help it survive the years of constant Christmas use it will get. Beautiful pictures, nice and child friendly story, plus it looks nice wherever you hang it.

Love the design of this advent calendar, it's one we will be able to use for years.
