What did I like. Almost nothing. A complete mess of nasty sounding recipes that have nothing to do with an alternative to deep frying. Five hundred useless recipes with no index, no pictures, no way of finding something specific. Just try to find a recipe for prepping potatoes for fries! I get annoyed just opening it and will drop it off at our local library today. Buy this book at your own risk - it’s terrible.

There are no pictures anywhere in this book and the recipes seem thrown together and not organized very well.

Wish the book had pictures but still a great cook book.

Nice collection of recipes to prepare using air fryer device for any meal of the day. I have found a variety of recipes including sweet, savory, salty, citrusy, and other delicious recipes. Most of the recipes are handpicked and nicely described including all the essential information and nutritional elements can be found inside the book. I am looking forward with this book. Very much appreciated and recommended.

Great recipes and tutorial on cooking in the Air Fryer

I love this book, so many recipes! The quesadilla was so good and a big hit with the kids. I can't wait to try the lamb chops. And im thinking of even trying a cake! I had no idea you could make a cake in an air fryer. If you are looking for amazing new recipe's this book is it.

I like many of Donna's books, especially "Bound" but this one just didn't hold my interest. It felt like some parts dragged a bit and sometimes i had a hard time remembering who was who because some of the names sound very similar. I didn't feel a sense of urgency or make much of a connection with Elisabetta. I guess i like my heroine's with a bit more spunk, like Birdie in Catherine Called Birdie. I understand the author has to be historically accurate and maybe there wasn't a lot of excitement that she could have worked in without stretching the truth too much.Anyhow, it could just be me. It seems everyone else enjoyed it immensely, so it's worth giving a shot. Just wasn't my cup of tea. I would recommend reading the sample first. It gives you a good idea of the tone of the book.

As I middle-school English teacher, I had the joy of introducing this book to my students this fall. Our school had selected the book because of the connection to fine art, but I was pleased that the book delivered something much more intesting--the story of a young noble lady during the Italian Renaissance. My students cheered for Elisabetta's pursuit of marriage for love. They saw how the life of a woman during this time period was based almost solely upon her marriage. Middle-school girls will find this story especially interesting because most of the story takes place when the main character and narrator is close to their ages. The boys who read the book also enjoyed it because of its engaging story and the attitude of the narrator. I also kept telling them that they were getting a rare inside view of the mind of a teenage girl. Overall, I recommend this book to young adult readers. My only complaint (and the complaint of my students) is the ending, but I won't spoil it for those who are about to pick up this book.

If you like reading about Italian history or the customs and daily lives of the well-off typical Italian family, this is a good read. The romance isnt forced or the highlight of the story, the things unfolding around Betta make you turn the pages faster than you would think from the cover. Ive reccomended this book to all of my friends, I discovered it in Highschool and its always been a favorite. If you like it I reccomend Romeo's Ex:Rosalines Story by Lisa Fielder or any of the Historical Fiction Novels about royal women by Carolyn Meyer. This is the first book I ever read more than once, and trust me its almost as good the second time as it is the first. I cant praise this book enough, BUY IT.

To be honest, I didn't really like this book. The pacing was odd, and there were a lot of short sentences that didn't explain as much as they could have. First person is pretty hard to write, and there was something strange about this story that didn't quite cut it. I didn't particularily like Elisabetta's character either, she seemed a bit whiny, and her feelings were unreasonable at times. I was required to read this for a school book group, good for learning more about Italy in the Renaissance, but otherwise I would not suggest this book, and don't read it to kids who are younger than 12.

On a recent trip to Italy we had to choose books that could be enjoyed by an 11 year old, her Mom and grandma. This book was everyone's favorite! In fact Donna Jo Napoli's books are fabulous at any age! Wonderful historical fiction, she is my favorite!

I would give it 5 stars as it is a very good historical fiction but I didn't find it appropriate for 7th grade level (as recommended here). There is so much sexual content that I finished it (because it is an excellent story otherwise) but my children didn't. Glad I previewed it for them.

As with all Donna Jo Napoli books I have read there is no happy ending. But with all Napoli books I have read it is one that stays with you after you finish reading it. The smile is probably one of the better Napoli books but I honestly think all of her YA books are amazing. Well reccomended.

I have read quite a few of Donna Jo Napoli novels and she has yet to dissapoint. This story is simple yet deep and I found it hard to put down. You really get to know the main character and cheer her on in her life's journey.

Fantastic book! Excellent text, beautiful pictures. I cannot recommend this book highly enough."God carried on creating people. All of them were made in his image. And all of them were different too. This book beautifully connects love of God and love of neighbor. We are made to love God, and therefore to love everyone made in His image. It shows how we distort that image with sin, and how God redeems that image in Christ.What an important thing to teach! This book has good theology, is clearly written and beautifully illustrated. Buy it for your kids!Adults who want to go deeper on this topic might consider "Bloodlines" by John Piper.

This book takes an issue that is complex for adults and makes it easy to understand for kids. Which is perfect, because this exactly when we should start having the conversation. If more people did this, we might avoid a lot of the nonsense that goes on with adults and their relationships with each other.

Buy it. Do yourself a huge favor and stinkin buy it. This should be in every home in the world. It's a beautiful depiction of God's beautiful design, how we ruined it, and how He redeemed us. It also celebrates diversity, which as a parent of a tri-racial child, is very important to me.

I have children ranging from 2 to 7 who have loved reading this book! The story is a wonderful story of how the gospel is displayed in the diversity of the church! Young children enjoy the vibrant pictures of all kinds of different people and older children can enjoy both the pictures and the very important story. I recommend this book to all my mommy friends!

A really lovely depiction of the gospel which is available to all, even those different than you. Beautiful illustrations. My little one loves looking at the pictures and I'm looking forward to the message making its way to her heart as we continue to read it.

amazing book- my son who is 2 and my daughter who is 4 love it. It lays out God's plan for the world in clear, sweet language and opens the ability for dialogue about differences between people. It has helped us talk with our kids about others in the world and given a framework to our conversations. such a great book! It is not a "story" per-se, but instead a retelling of God's story and plan, how it went wrong, how he fixed it, and how he calls us to love one another today.

The book is great! I’m excited to have more in depth conversations with my kids about the way God crested so many people so different.I gave it 4 stars because the book we received had glue or something on every page and they were all stuck together.
